RFID Journal: VW Slovakia Optimizes Factory Vehicle Movement With RTLS

RFID Journal, the leading media company devoted to radio frequency identification (RFID) and its business applications, covered Sewio’s real-time location system installation within one of the biggest and most modern Volkswagen factories worldwide.

The article outlines the details of the project, including both its technical and business aspects. It also brings a detailed technical description of Decawave technology and CEIT’s platform Ella, used for the needed visibility and intelligence to support the right just-in-time decisions.

Due to these newly gotten insights, Volkswagen was able to increase its warehouse utilization by 20% and decrease the least distance traveled attributable to forklift navigation by 10%.
