Sewio team continues on growing and we are happy to announce the appointment of Viren Mathuria as general manager for our North American business unit. He is joining the company as of the 1st of April 2021. In this role, Viren’s responsibilities will encompass leading Sewio’s business strategy overseeing sales, partner alliances, and operations in North America.

“North American RTLS market is mature with manufacturing, supply chain, and OEMs adopting UWB technology as a basis for Industry 4.0 and digital transformation, making it critical to Sewio’s global growth and expansion strategy. Viren’s experience will be of great value in executing our strategy and supporting both our partners and customers in North America”, commented the CEO of Sewio, Milan Simek.

Prior to joining Sewio Networks, Viren worked as the Director of Sales and Business Development at Ubisense (Cambridge, UK) and as the Marketing & Business Manager at Atlas Copco. Most recently he has consulted on innovation programs, managed product portfolios, and mentored global teams as the Director of Business Development at SquareOne Consulting. Viren holds a Master’s in Electrical Engineering and has authored published research on RTLS and AGV technologies. Altogether he brings to Sewio over 10 years of experience in the RTLS, Smart Manufacturing, and IOT domains.

“I am thrilled to have Viren onboard”, said Simon Chudoba, Sewio’s Chief Sales Officer. “He is an experienced manager and a recognized RTLS expert and will be a key player in Sewio’s continued growth and expansion in the North American market. We believe that having someone like Viren onboard will truly advance our efforts in becoming one of the top global players in the UWB RTLS market.“

“Over the years, from consulting with excellence seeking clients such as BMW, Tesla, Toyota TLS, and various others, I’d formed a vision of the ideal RTLS company, focusing on specific verticals, applications, partnership model, SLAs, and support networks; sort of distilling a decade of lessons learned into an ideal business model. When Milan described his strategy and Sewio’s ‘partners first’ model, in my mind it was an instant match”, adds Viren on his decision to join Sewio.
